Monday

Today we went to Mount Vernon. We were there almost all morning and then came back to center and had lunch, workshops, and committee meetings. I gave the keynote speech along with Jake again for the delegates. At about 5 o'clock, one of the red line trains (metro) collided with another on the track. DC relies very heavily on using metro as transportation. However this shut down a huge portion of the metro resulting in HEAVY traffic! People had to have friends and family pick them up as well as taxi cabs. DC was crazy at about 6:30 pm when we were to leave for our nightview. It took about double the time to get to the monuments which resulted in us being out later than normal. Nightview was fun and my Wisconsin delegates are a fun group!
