Last Day at TOMS

Well...this post is long over due.
Better late than never.
I helped out at another photo shoot my last day of TOMS.
Chelsea (former intern) was running around taking photos for the TOMS blog and I was busy steaming t-shirts for the models.
Here we are playing around with the new beanies available this fall.
 Hard at work steaming clothes...

After we returned from the photo shoot the day was almost over.
Our brand experience team had a going away party for us.
All of our photos were up on the wall with envelopes for people to leave notes in.
We had a BBQ.
We had a band playing music for us.
We had to say our good-byes.
I still remember walking out of TOMS with Blaire and Liz.
I looked back and started to bawl. (It was the ugly cry, trust me)
I dreamed of working for this company.
I can't believe I was given the opportunity.
I am so blessed.

Kansas City Trip - Labor Day Weekend

Over Labor Day weekend, my friend Ashley and I went to Kansas City to visit our friend (also named Ashley) who transferred from Northwest.
It was a triple A weekend.
Ashley. Angela. Ashley.
Friday night we made dinner and talked for hours catching up on life.
Saturday morning we went to Union Station followed by Crown Center.
Union Station was beautiful. I love old architecture.
An Irish Festival was going on...hence the green water fountains.
Did you know Kansas City is the city of fountains?
 We stoped by Crayola...
We ate at the most adorable restaurant: Fritz's.
You place your order over the phone and then a small train that runs above your head drops off your food.
Clever idea.

Of course you get to wear a train conductor's hat...
We shopped, went to Mass, and hung out with Ashley's wonderful family.
Great way to spend my Labor Day weekend.

Cake Jars

I found this adorable recipe on Pintrest.
It is cake in a mason jar.
Simple. Easy. Tasty.
I made a white cake mix and then divided it into four different bowls.
Added food coloring to each bowl and then poured the cake batter into the mason jars.
Put them in the oven.  Cut the tops off (they bubble up) and then added frosting.
Delicious.

Melanie's Birthday + A Cherry Pie

My sweet friend Melanie turned 22 last week.
Melanie told me that she always wants a cherry pie for her birthday, but she always receives an angel food cake instead...
So, I decided to make her the pie.
When my I told my mom that I was going to make cherry pie, she laughed out loud.
Check it out momma.
Okay, so the crust is a little rough...  It still tasted good!

Home Opener

Yesterday was Northwest's first home football game.
I love attending the pep rally before the game!
We seriously have the best marching band, cheerleaders, and steppers.
They get our crowd pumped up and ready to cheer on our football players.
Oh, by the way...the Bearcats won!

Currently I have been...

Spending a lot of time in that pink chair...
(Just finished a paper about our First Amendment rights and social media...yikes)

Trying to find balance between school, friends, work, etc.

Enjoying this beautiful weather! Can it stay like this year round?

Bumming rides off of people because my car needed a little bit of maintenance...I get to pick it up today!

Trying to figure out my next step in life as a great opportunity has been suggested to me...

Learning how to run my new camera. My old one broke.

Working on trying to blog more often because I had no idea so many people actually enjoyed reading this thing! Thank you! I will try harder!
