on a boat.

Best part of my "I don't have a real person job yet" is that I get on a boat for an hour during work.

And lunch + Ben & Jerry's ice cream for free.

And sweet little children say comments like this,

"your teeth look so healthy"

then they all give me hugs when the tour is done.

sometimes the creepy old men give me strange smiles too.

god bless them. and god bless the hundreds of honor flight men i see at the wwii memorial everyday that make me cry.

i think i want to start my own business.

i want to create things. pretty things like this.

i worked 11 hours yesterday. today i have the day off.

i'm spending (some of) it at the pool.

and then it hit me.

it hit me today that i am no longer a college student.

i drove to emmetsburg to work out at the wellness center. did a bit of cardio and some weights. got in the car.  picked up a few groceries for my mom. and headed home.

then a song came on the radio.

a country one.

one that i love.  one that reminds me of my friends.

i didn't bawl.  but i definitely got choked up.

i feel so alone at home.

i miss being surrounded by my peers.

i miss having friends close by me.

i miss working out with friends.

i miss ice cream runs with friends.

some of my closest friends are an eight hour drive away.

i'm sad. and i'm going to be sad for awhile.

...

welp.
it hit me today.
hard.
i'm graduating from college in 13 days.

holy moly.

when people ask me my plans after graduation, i kindly reply...
"i don't have a future ... yet "

i like to add sarcasm to this whole mix of emotions.
i'm confident it will all work out.

the best is yet to come, right?

happy friday!

Yay for Friday!
I have so much on my mind.
I feel like it never rests.
What to do with my life after graduation?
oh what to do... what to do.

I have faith it will all work out.
Right now, it is a game of patience.

Patience in hearing back from potential opportunties.
Patience in waiting for the right opportunity.
Patience with the Lord's plan.

crossing paths

Yours truly saw this beautiful sky the other night when grabbing a few groceries.
I loved that you could see the four paths where the airplanes crossed.

I started to think about the paths I've taken in my life.

The people I've met.
The experiences I've had.
The trials I've faced.

To all my friends, family, mentors, and blog readers:
Thank you for being part of my life.
I'm so glad you're in it.

Lets keep it that way.

looking up...?

welp...i'm kind freaking out right now.

two weeks left of classes and one week of finals.

several of my friends will graduate come december 16th and many will not return next semester because they begin student teaching.

seriously, is college ending?
why?

i am having issues with 'growing up'
i don't think i'm ready yet.
i have too many wonderful memories at this place.
i have made the bestest of friends.

the thought of change right now is scary.

i keep telling myself that "regardless of where you go,there will always be good people"
(quote from my wonderful mama)

but goodness gracious...
i'm about to pick my life up come feb. and move to greece for four months.
am i crazy?

then i have to get a job.
under pressure.

i'm going to go read matthew 6:25-34 now.
it's good for this topic.

LIFE

Wouldn't it be nice if the money you won in the board game LIFE was real?
and...
In real life, you could spin again if you were not in the lead?

Just some thoughts that crossed through my head while playing LIFE with the sisters, my momma, and Aubrey this past weekend.

Jessica, you look oh so pleasant in this photo :)
